In the past, I downloaded a calculator to determine how many years I could get RNOR status. I could not find the calculator and the link I found is not working. Could anyone post the link which will work.

Let me know if this works. Not affiliated with that site. So use your best judgement.

This is the calculate to find out if you are NRI. In the past, there was a calculator in this board (the link did not work now) to calculate to get a maximum of 3 years of RNOR status by including the days you have visited in India in the past 7 years.

It also tells if you are RNOR.

How many days were you in India, this Financial Year? More than 182 days
Have you been a resident of India in the past 2 out of 10 preceding years? No
You are RNOR
So for sure you will get RNOR status for atleast 2 years
Have you been a resident of India in the past 2 out of 10 preceding years? Yes
How long have you been in India for last 7 years?
Less than 729 days -> RNOR(for 3rd year too!)
More than 729 days -> Ordinary Resident
I am moving to India on 25th May this year. So I will be in India for 310 days this FY and 365 days next FY. So total 675 days.
If I hadnt taken any vacation to India in the last 5 years, I would have been RNOR for 3rd year too. But for sure I have taken more than 54 days vacation in the last 5 years.
So in my case my RNOR period will be 2 years, which is more than enough for me.

Great I will review your inputs:
[1] I am not in India 2 years past 15 years.
[2] I took only 95 days' vacation in India last 7 years from 2019- 2025
[3] So, if move back May 25th, 2026 and visit the USA and other countries during 2 years of RNOR status, I might be able to get 3rd year. Need to calculate.
